Energy Tax Credits

Florida energy tax credits and incentives reflect the deep sentiment this state has for clean energy technolgies. The following is a list of available tax credits currently provided by the State of Florida

• The incentive for Photovoltaic Solar Power for residential systems is $4.0/W DC, up to a limit of $20,000 (the budget was exhausted, application are filed and once a new budget is approved, rebates will be awarded in the order in which they were received)
• Solar Water Heating, a direct rebate of $500 per installation (the budget was exhausted, application are filed and once a new budget is approved, rebates will be awarded in the order in which they were received)
• Solar Pool Heaters, $100 per installation (the budget was exhausted, application are filed and once a new budget is approved, rebates will be awarded in the order in which they were received)
• Property Tax Thermal Solar and/or Power generator solar installed after January 1 2009, qualify for property tax exemption for 10 years in the amount equal the equipment cost plus the installation cost
• Contact your utility to find out how much they pay for electricity you sell to them
